Products will be labeled with their EPR Footprint. Like a carbon footprint, this will reflect how sustainable a product is, and how responsible a manufacturer is.
That’s why we need an “EPR footprint.” Like a carbon footprint, an EPR footprint would be a measure that consumers could rely on to inform them of the consequences of the purchasing choices. An EPR footprint would tell the consumer the cost of their purchase dedicated to disposal. A lower footprint will generally mean a more environmentally conscious design.
